Description
The current implementation of the DNV RP C203 uses the edition from October 2024. The code defines the recommended practice for the fatigue design of offshore steel structures and structural components, with the aim of ensuring safe fatigue design.
S-N data are available in air environment, seawater with cathodic protection and sea water with free corrosion. The selection of S-N curves depends on fabrication and loading type. The assessment is supported for nominal stress, hot spot stress or notch stress. Specific hot spot methods for tubular joints are included. Post weld improvement can be taken into account. Results are available as damage or degree of utilization.
The DNV-RP-C203 implementation is released for the first time in LIMIT2026.
