Description
The GB 50017 is a Chinese standard for the design of steel structures. The implementation of the code includes the following features:
- Static strength assessment of base material and welds against material/weld strength
- Fatigue strength assessment of base material and welds using predefined SN-curves:
- Assessment against cutoff (1e8 load cycles)
- Variable amplitude fatigue
The strength assessment of welds uses the nominal stress concept.
